Water recycling plant for Axminster Carpets is believed to be the UK's first wastewater recycling plant that has a closed loop system with a target "zero discharge" to sewer.
The filtration plant, including the pre-filters and membrane systems, has a total membrane area of 3000 sq. metres including both tubular ultrafiltration and spiral wound reverse osmosis membranes.
Of particular interest to many manufacturers is the fact that the company will save a substantial amount of money with zero discharge to sewer. Also, the use of chemicals has been much reduced and a significant amount of energy saved by returning hot water for process applications.

Henkel buy Perforated Sheet Filters following successful trials
Following successful trials using our Econ-Screen perforated sheet filter range, Henkel Ireland ordered a substantial number of filters to prevent blockages in the filling heads of their packaging lines. The filters which were required to remove agglomerated lumps of material from adhesives of varying consistencies are designed to withstand the high pressures associated with very viscous products. Henkel Ireland has reported that substantial savings have been realised as a result of reducing costly downtime. |
