Axium
Process Helps Henkel Ireland Out Of A Sticky Situation

Henkel
Ireland Ltd,
specialist manufacturers of adhesives, sealants &
surface treatment products, recently purchased a substantial
number of Axium Process’ Econ-Screen perforated sheet
filters which the company reports has already resulted
in substantial savings as a result of reducing costly
downtime.
Henkel
Ireland was looking for a filter with a robust design
that would be able to remove agglomerated lumps of material
from adhesives of varying consistencies and prevent
blockages in the filling heads on their packaging lines.
The company carried out a series of successful trials
using Axium’s Econ-Screen filter range which is designed
to withstand the high pressures associated with very
viscous products and is manufactured with a 316L perforated
sheet screen with a rapid single nut screen change capability
and a metal to metal seal. Standard screen sizes include
1000, 2000 and 3000 micron.
As
well as the Econ-Screen perforated sheet filter range,
Axium Process also manufactures a range of stainless
steel wedge-wire screen filters which is being widely
used throughout the food, beverage and pharmaceutical
industries, as well as a new sintered mesh filter screen
which is ideally suited for fine particulate applications
requiring filtration levels as low as 5 micron.
Axium’s
range of filters is manufactured in 316L stainless steel
and is available with interchangeable screen elements
and end connections to suit customer requirements. A
jacketed option is also available for product heating
or cooling as well as a duplex or stand alone option
which can be supplied with supporting frames to mount
the filters in position.
