Press Release:    June 2007 -  Axium Process Develops Viral Filtration System For Custom Pharmaceutical Application

Axium Protherics, a leading biopharmaceutical company focused on developing, manufacturing and marketing critical care and cancer products recently contacted stainless steel specialists, Axium Process Ltd, to design and build a stainless steel Viral Filtration System as part of their clean room installation.

 

The mobile system, which was manufactured to a very strict specification, incorporates 15 highly specialised, single use, viral removal filters supplied by Sartorius Biotechnology Ltd; and allows single operator changeovers using a single lever activated mechanism. The system was supplied with a full document dossier as part of the validation requirements.

 

Where traceability is paramount, Axium Process offers dye penetrant, ferroxyl, citric or nitric acid passivation, as well as, pressure testing to 80 bar, RA measurement, material and conformity certificates to BS EN 10204. In addition, the company operates rigorous procedures to ensure that all aspects of material selection, design, production, packaging and delivery conform to customer specification.
