Protherics PLC chooses sprayball lances from Axium Process

Axium Process, specialist stainless steel fabricators, recently supplied Protherics PLC, the international biopharmaceutical company, with a number of customised 316L stainless steel static and rotating sprayball lances as an integral part to their CIP operations.

The sprayball lances, which are manufactured to very tight tolerances, were required to fit an existing CIP setup and custom built connection points.   The level of cleanliness required was particularly stringent for this application which involved snake anti venom.

Axium Process’s range of tank sprayballs, which includes static sprayballs, nozzles and rotating sprayheads are available with inlets from ¾” up to 2” with ball diameters from 1 ½” up to 3 ½”.   Manufactured in 316L stainless steel, the sprayballs are available with 180 ° upward, 180 ° downward and 360 ° spray patterns.     Spray hole diameters are 1/16” and 3/32” as standard, but can be customised to customer specification.

As well as manufacturing customised spray devices, the company, which only employs ASME IX/BE EN 287 dual coded welders, also manufactures complete CIP systems as well as tanks and vessels.   Axium Process also stocks a comprehensive range of process components including tank manways, sightglasses, valves and filters as well as tank ferrules, Clamp, DIN, RJT, SMS and IDF Unions.
