The Bio-Pharm industry historically has set the standard for hygienic design, engineering and manufacturing. High levels of product consistency are essential and therefore welding and fabricating procedures must comply with internationally recognised standards such as ASME IX and BS EN 287 and 288. Mechanised welding is often specified for critical installations allied with high quality tube, fittings and process components where the internal surface finishes are often better than 0.4/0.38 µm Ra. Full material traceability is an additional requirement along with indelible product identification and a high standard of cleaning and packaging.
